Almond Cake Recipe
(MANDELKUCHEN)
- 4 oz (1/4 lb.) Bavarian Almonds
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 8 oz whipping cream
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tablespoons milk
Beat eggs with one cup sugar, one teaspoon vanilla. Add whipping cream, flour and baking powder. Stir throughly and spread in a greased 9" X 13" baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 for 15 minutes (until top is brown).
Melt the butter, add one half cup sugar, one teaspoon sugar, one teaspoon vanilla, milk, crushed Bavarian almonds and stir. Spread on cake and bake another 10 minutes at 375. ENJOY!!
